Preferences on your device

Favourites, colour theme and installation preferences are saved in your browser. They do not create an account. Closing the travel notice is remembered for the current tab session; you can reopen it from the footer. Security sessions use cookies to protect forms and owner access. Clearing browser storage removes local preferences.

Flying alerts

If you turn on alerts, we store your selected airfields and an encrypted notification subscription. A device cookie links this browser to those settings. Delivery uses your browser’s notification provider, such as Apple, Google, Microsoft or Mozilla. You may receive flying highlights, site announcements and test messages.

Turn off alerts on Manage alerts to remove the subscription from our active store. Delivery records are kept for up to 30 days; backup copies may remain until the backups containing them are removed. We do not need your name or email address to send browser notifications.

Optional Google Analytics

On the public site, we ask before loading Google Analytics. Accepting allows Google to receive usage and device/browser information, including your IP address as part of the connection. Google describes its processing in its privacy policy. Processing may take place outside the UK.

Our integration measures page visits, removes URL queries and fragments from the page address sent to Google, and does not send form contents. We do not enable advertising personalisation. Analytics is excluded from admin, owner-preview, local development, alert settings and contact pages.

Use Analytics settings in the footer of a measured page to change your choice. Rejecting leaves the Google Analytics tag unloaded. Withdrawing consent stops further measurement and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies. This does not erase information previously sent to Google. Analytics cookies and your choice are set for up to six months.

Security checks, contact and recommended links

Google reCAPTCHA protects notification setup and owner sign-in. Google’s privacy policy and terms apply. Security logs help us investigate abuse. If you contact us by email or telephone, we use what you provide to respond.

Campaign counters record totals for displayed placements and clicks; they are not a count of unique people. Links to other organisations take you to sites with their own privacy practices. Airfield imagery is illustrative; it is not a record of current flying.
